What people mean by AI construction estimating
AI construction estimating, on this site, is software that reads the tender and then does the estimating work. Takeoff and estimate included. The bid after those quantities exist. Not a chatbot that restates the spec. Not a dashboard with a prompt box. Not a GC bid board with a language model bolted on.
The person who carries the number is a trade estimator or a preconstruction lead on a mechanical, electrical, plumbing, roofing, or steel desk. The invitation is already theirs. ArosBid includes takeoff and estimate and replaces Trimble AutoBid. That sentence is the estimating claim. The named comparison is ArosBid vs AutoBid. This page exists so “AI construction estimating” lands on that desk, not a chat product.
The MEP hub is MEP estimating software. The electrical ranking page is electrical estimating software. The role page is for estimators. This URL does not replace those pages. It is the keyword for the reading that feeds them.
How it works
The tender lands. Intake recognizes it and opens the pursuit. The set is read — front end included — and findings are cited to the document and page that prove them. Takeoff and estimate run in the same workspace. That is the AutoBid seat, included. Then the bid after: bid/no-bid against your own GC history, vendor RFQs built from the reviewed set, leveling that reconciles stated totals to itemized sums, budget in Excel, a proposal assembled from decisions you recorded, readiness before you submit.
A human approves every send. During training, the mail connector will not release a send that does not cite a recorded decision. It learns the pattern you already signed off, then automates it. The approval gate does not move.
That is the product as it ships. This page does not invent a roadmap, a model name, or a takeoff screen we have not shown you. Walk the stages on the platform page. The process comparison against a manual desk is on Compare. Book the walkthrough at Book a live demo. Named pursuits in that walkthrough, including Riverside Office Tower, are fictional demo data and labeled as such.

Who the seat is for
Trade desks. Mechanical equipment schedules and duct. Electrical one-lines and gear. Plumbing fixture counts and medical gas. Commercial roofing warranty and tear-off. Steel when that desk is in the same office. Not a GC pursuing coverage. Procore, BuildingConnected, SmartBid, PlanHub, Dodge, and ConstructConnect are invite or document sources, not this seat.
Plumbing, mechanical, and roofing each have a ranking page and an industry page that stay live. Plumbing estimating software · Mechanical estimating software · Roofing estimating software · industries/plumbing · industries/mechanical · industries/roofing. This page is the AI construction estimating entry that points at them.
This page does not invent a customer, a logo, a win rate, or a savings percentage.
Money, instance, send authority
Every extension, sum, reconciliation, and allowance in ArosBid uses deterministic integer-cent code. No language model prices the job. The model’s job, where it has one, is reading: finding the table in a vendor PDF, locating the clause in the front end, matching an addendum to what was already priced. The instant numbers are extracted, they are handed to code.
Each customer gets an isolated instance: own database, own document store, own subdomain, Microsoft Entra ID. Customer bid data is not used to train public models. During training, nothing leaves without a recorded human approval.
If you want the named replacement page, use vs AutoBid. If you want cited reading as its own search, use AI tender review. If you want the three-trade hub, use MEP estimating software.
