Estimating
Estimating is the number. Labor, material, equipment, subcontract quotes, overhead, and the price you are willing to submit. On a specialty trade desk that number is not a general contractor’s coverage tab. It is your scope, after the invitation is already yours.
ArosBid includes takeoff and estimate and replaces Trimble AutoBid. Money is deterministic integer-cent code. A language model does not price the job. The category name on this URL is estimating and bidding together, because a number that never passed through the tender is not a bid you can defend.
Takeoff
Takeoff is quantities from the drawings. It belongs in the same workspace as the estimate. ArosBid includes it because the product replaces Trimble AutoBid. The combined-job page is takeoff and estimating software. The MEP framing, with an explicit refusal to claim STACK, is MEP takeoff software.
Quick Bid is a different seat in the market: the estimate, usually fed by On-Screen Takeoff. If that is the name you searched, the page is QuickBid alternative. This hub does not reprint that comparison.
Tender review
Tender review is the reading. Every page. Dates, conflicts, liquidated damages, alternates, and the front-end clause that can disqualify a correct quantity. Findings are cited to document and page. A finding you cannot open is a rumor. The category page for that reading is AI tender review. The way AI sits on the estimating job — read, then price in code, not a chatbot — is AI construction estimating.
Bid leveling
Bid leveling here is your vendors, not a general contractor lining up subcontractors. Stated totals reconciled to itemized sums. Exclusions lifted and treated as scope. The real low bid is the one that still stands after that check, not the smallest cover total. The desk is vendor quote leveling. The category split from GC-to-sub is bid leveling software.

Scope gaps
A scope gap is work the documents assign and the number does not carry. Spec versus drawing. “By others” on a system you still have to feed. An exclusion in a vendor quote that the spec still requires. Those are flagged before submission. They are not a savings percentage, and this page will not invent one.
Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing traps stay on their own pages, reached from MEP estimating software. Roofing and steel stay on their industry pages. This hub names the gap. It does not reprint every sheet.
Approval
Approval is the send. During training, nothing leaves without a recorded human decision. The mail connector refuses a send that does not cite that decision. It learns the pattern you already signed off, then automates it. The approval gate does not move. L5 Autonomous is next. You still own the bid that goes out.
Estimating and bidding versus bid management
Construction bid management software on this site is the process after the ITB: intake, review, bid/no-bid, vendor RFQs, leveling, proposal, readiness. It is explicitly not a plan room and not GC-to-sub. Use that URL when the search is the process.
Use this URL when the search is the category: estimating, takeoff, tender review, bid leveling, scope gaps, and approval, for a specialty trade contractor. The two pages point at each other so a crawler can tell them apart. Neither one is a bid board. Invite sources connect. They are not the number.
The role page is for estimators. The named AutoBid comparison is vs AutoBid. Book a live demo at Book a live demo. No customer names, logos, win rates, or savings percentages. Photographs are location stills reused from existing ranking pages.
