Trade desk versus the GC bid-management SERP.

“Construction bid management software” usually means a plan room or a GC collecting sub coverage. This page is the trade contractor’s bid after the invite already landed.

What you can check on a walkthrough.

Three claims that are architecture, not a pitch. None of them is a customer story we do not have.

  1. 01Not a bid board

Invite sources connect. They are how work arrives. They are not the trade bid after the ITB is yours. This page exists so that split is crawlable.

  2. 02Trade estimator, not GC preconstruction

The person who carries the number is on a mechanical, electrical, plumbing, roofing, or steel desk. The role page is for estimators.

  3. 03AutoBid is the estimating seat we replace

Takeoff and estimate are in the product. STACK, McCormick, and FastEST are other takeoff tools in the market. We do not claim them here.

The SERP is built for someone else

Search “construction bid management software” and the results are mostly general contractor tools: a place to post invitations, a place to watch which trades have priced, a plan room with a clock. Procore, PlanHub, SmartBid, BuildingConnected, Dodge, and ConstructConnect live in that neighborhood. They are real products. They are invite or document sources. On this site they connect. They are not rivals we write a vs-page against, and they are not the desk this URL is for.

A trade contractor does not post the ITB. The ITB arrives. Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, roofing, or steel. The estimator has to decide whether to spend the hours, read the set, take off the work, price it, RFQ vendors, level the quotes, and submit a proposal that matches what was priced. That is bid software for a trade contractor. It is not a bid board.

This page is the audience split. The process page — same product, after-ITB language — is construction bid management software. Use that URL when the search is the category name. Use this one when the search is who the software is for. They should not cannibalize each other: one is the job after the invite, one is the trade desk saying it is not a board.

Who sits here

Estimators and preconstruction leads. The person who will still be in the office twenty minutes before close when the last equipment quote lands. The person who carries the number into a meeting with the owner or the VP. Not a GC preconstruction coordinator hunting coverage. The role page is for estimators.

The trades we write for are on industries: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, roofing, steel. MEP estimating as a hub is MEP estimating software. Roofing on this site is commercial NDL, uplift, and tear-off. It is not a residential roof CRM.

If the search is takeoff and estimate together — AutoBid’s actual job — that URL is takeoff and estimating software. If it is MEP takeoff only, and you need the sentence that we are not a STACK replacement, use MEP takeoff software.

Not a bid board. Say it until it sticks.

A bid board’s job is inbound coverage for someone else. Your job is outbound: a number you can defend, a proposal that matches it, and a send you approved. Mixing those jobs in one sentence is how trade software gets written as if the user were a GC. We will not do that.

BuildingConnected, PlanHub, SmartBid, Dodge, and ConstructConnect can drop an invitation into Outlook. Procore can be where documents live after award. Autodesk Construction Cloud can be a document source. Those connections matter. They do not read Division 00 for you. They do not score bid/no-bid against your GC history. They do not draft a vendor RFQ from the reviewed set. They do not recompute a vendor total in integer cents.

The inbound addendum problem — a construction bid addendum log, not a Mexican CFDI “addenda” file — is missed addenda. Vendor packages go out from construction vendor RFQ. Quotes come back to vendor quote leveling. The category hub for that sheet is AI bid leveling, which exists so “AI bid leveling” does not mean a GC shopping subs. Tender review is AI tender review. Bid/no-bid after the set is read is bid / no-bid.

Empty conference table after hours. No screens.

The estimating seat we actually replace

ArosBid includes takeoff and estimate and replaces Trimble AutoBid. That is the estimating claim. The named page is vs AutoBid — alternative and replacement, takeoff included. Trimble Estimation MEP is the current Trimble MEP estimating product. STACK, McCormick, and FastEST are other takeoff tools in the market. This audience page does not open a vs-STACK fight. It does not claim McCormick. It does not pretend a bid board is an estimating rival.

After those quantities exist, the same isolated instance runs the process: intake, document review, bid/no-bid, vendor RFQs, leveling, budget and Excel, proposal, readiness. Walk it on platform. Compare the manual desk on Compare. Brand definition, including the Arobid Vietnam and AROS OS collisions, is what is ArosBid.

Money is deterministic integer-cent code. During training, nothing leaves without a recorded human approval. Microsoft Entra ID. Own database, document store, and subdomain. L5 Autonomous is next. The gate does not move.

What “after the ITB” costs in hours

The invitation is the cheap part. The set is twenty-five to thirty documents. The front end can still disqualify you. Vendor quotes arrive late. Leveling happens under a clock. Addenda move a date or a machine. Bonding is a gate. That is the trade week. Bid software that only tracks whether you were invited is software for someone else. ArosBid is the week after you were invited.

Those hours are why takeoff and estimate belong in the same instance as review and RFQs. Copying quantities into a board, or out of a board into a workbook, is how the week leaks. The product claim is one isolated instance. The audience claim is this URL: trade contractor, not a board.

What this page will not invent

No customer logos. No win rates. No “trade contractors save X%” line. No AutoBid crash list. No hidden-fee story. No fake bid-board screenshot we are pretending to replace. Photographs are existing ranking-page stills. Named pursuits, including Riverside Office Tower, are fictional demo data and labeled as such.

If you want to see the desk — not a board, not a plan room — book a live demo. The instance on that call is branded as your company before it starts. The pursuit you watch is labeled demo data. The product you are looking at is the trade bid after the invite is already yours.

Empty estimator office. Plans and a desk. No product chrome.

[ FAQ ]

Asked on the first call.

Is ArosBid a bid board?

No. BuildingConnected, PlanHub, SmartBid, Dodge, ConstructConnect, and Procore are invite or document sources. They connect. ArosBid starts after the invitation is already yours.

How is this different from construction bid management software?

That URL is the process page: after-ITB trade work, not a plan room. This URL is the audience page. Same product. This one says “trade contractor” so the GC SERP does not swallow the desk.

Do you replace Trimble AutoBid?

Yes. ArosBid includes takeoff and estimate and replaces Trimble AutoBid. The named page is /vs-autobid. STACK, McCormick, and FastEST are other takeoff tools in the market.

Is this for general contractors?

No. If a GC is shopping subs, that is a different product. We do not sell GC-to-sub bid leveling or a plan room.

Are customers or win rates on this page?

No. No customer names, logos, or win rates. Riverside Office Tower is fictional demo data. Photographs are existing ranking-page stills.

Empty lobby corridor at night. No signage.

See the trade desk, not a bid board.
